Our men’s 1st XI are in semi-final action this weekend in the NCCA Trophy vs Dorset at Finchampstead CC.

It’s our 3rd semi-final in three years and we hope for similar success to the previous two where we beat Wiltshire (2019) and Wales (2021) to make our way to the showpiece final at Wormsley.

The side will go into Sunday's game fresh of the back of a confidence building 6 wicket win against Middlesex at Falkland last time out in the showcase game.

There’s good news on the injury front as Euan Woods received news from the hospital this week that there was no fracture to his right ring finger and has been passed fit to take his place in Sunday’s side after sustaining the injury against Middlesex. Savin Perera remains side-lined but has had his hand operated on and we are hopeful he’ll be available come the back end of August. Jack Davies, Tom Scriven, Saif Zaib and Toby Greatwood are all in Royal London action on Sunday and we wish them well with their respective counties.

The only change from Sunday’s showcase game is the return of Luke Beaven who comes in for Charlie Dunnett who returns to U18’s action on Sunday as our lads take on Suffolk in the national plate 1/4 final. We wish the boys well for their trip to Bury St Edmunds.

As always we look forward to the warm support, we always get from Finchampstead as we look to take our place in our 3rd consecutive 50 over final.
