Under 10 boys start the inter-county season with a win

Convincing victory against Buckinghamshire
Berkshire's under 10 boys' county squad made a good start to their season with a convincing victory over neighbours Buckinghamshire at the Oratory School.
The Bucks top order was soon struggling against the pace of Aayan Malik and left arm spin of skipper Connor Lamsdale. While opener Jariwala played positively, wickets fell at the other end and Bucks were reeling at 28 for 5 when he was dismissed for 15. Stands of 17, 22 and 12 then pushed the score up to 79 for 8, with Connor taking 3 for 7 in 7 overs and Elliott Saunders 2 for 19 in 7. Only Dodds (32) offered much resistance to the varied and accurate Berkshire attack which included Sam Smith (1 for 3 in 4 overs), Max Meader (2 for 16 in 4.3 overs), and Bailey Niblett (1 for 3 on one over). The innings finished on 101 all out off 32.3 of the allotted 40 overs.
In reply, Alfie Agar (10) and Bailey Niblett started confidently before Alfie was caught behind for 10 with the score on 20. Berkshire continued to bat confidently, with Bailey (retired not out 24) and Connor (retired not out 21) putting on 42 before giving way to Aaron Lall (10 not out) and James Isbell (15 not out) who knocked off the remaining runs to win by the comfortable margin of 9 wickets.
