The hosts were dismissed for 160 in the 44th over, with Heather Knight contributing 75 of them off 99 balls, finding the boundary on nine occasions.
Only two other batters managed to make it to double digits, with Emily Cunningham scoring 16 and Lauren Bell 13.
Lauren was soon among the wickets, twice hitting the stumps as Somerset were reduced to 8-4, the other two wickets going to Anya Shrubsole, who was playing against her former county.
Only Nat Wraith, batting at five, managed to offer any resistance, hitting 47 (six fours) in a team total of 86, of which 20 were extras. The Somerset innings lasted for 25.4 overs.
All of the five bowlers used by Berkshire had something to celebrate with Knight claiming 3-12 off 6.4 overs, Shrubsole 2-6 (6 overs), Bell 2-25 (5), Lissy MacLeod 1-16 (4) and Pheobe Graham 1-19 (4).
Before the game, Berkshire U13 girls provided a guard of honour for the players and umpires before going off to play a game between themselves on the adjoining pitch and they were back to applaud the victorious team off the pitch.
Berkshire will face a much tougher test when they take on Devon, the only other side in Division 2 still unbeaten after three games. The teams meet at Sidmouth's picturesque seaside ground on Sunday, May 19th.
