The primary aim of the Development Courses that certain girls have been attended over the previous 8 weeks has been to improve the core cricket skill sets of the Under 11-17 player groups in Berkshire. In conjunction with this we ran Specialists and technical sessions for selected U11 to Academy girls to focus on developing their primary skills. 150 girls have attended the respective courses and we have been extremely impressed by the commitment, willingness to learn and playing ability that we have witnessed during this time. We have had a very close look at all of the players over the 8 different sessions and have selected a total of 110 girls that will be invited to be part of a winter development Squad training with the Berkshire County Coaches starting in January 2019.
Many congratulations if your name appears on the selected squad lists. If you have missed out this time, please keep on playing and enjoying your cricket. The door to County selection is never closed and a number of players, who we saw performing well for their schools and clubs, were brought into squads last year. Regardless of whether you have been selected or not, we would like to congratulate you on the hard work and the positive attitude you have shown us over the entire process, you should feel very proud of yourself.
